We are pleased to announce that MMP has been added to their site under the "Church Planting" category. Awesome!!! You can find the listing at missionfinder.org.

///SITREP/// - A Constant Contact e-mail has been distributed to over 6,000 churches, pastors, and youth leaders throughout the Southern Baptist Convention. We have seen traffic and exploration of the MMP web site skyrocket in the past 24 hours.

///YOUR MISSION/// - We need all Field Agents, Station Chiefs, and NOC Agents to work fervently to distribute these e-mails to as many churches, friends, and leaders as possible. It is critical that we achieve a registration of at least 100 participants at the Summer Mission Training weeks next year. Director Ferrell Quoted in Christian Index Article

///SITREP/// - Roger Ferrell, Director of Operations, was quoted recently in a Christian Index (Georgia Baptist Newspaper) article entitled "Georgia Youth Joining Church Planting Movement." Indeed, his insights comprised the first three paragraphs of the story. It is extremely exciting to see Roger recognized as the expert on Student Church Planting in Georgia. Through the work of Mission M Possible, Roger recently was instrumental in forming the first-ever Student Church Planting Network through the Georgia Baptist Convention.

Savannah Mission Update

///SITREP/// - I've been working for some months in diplomatic partnership with the Savannah Baptist Association and Georgia Baptist Convention Church Planting Missionary Daryl Price to research the church planting needs and opportunities in Savannah. Savannah is a place of great spiritual need, with a dark history (pirates, haunted houses), several universities, many new residents and over 41,000 new homes approved for construction in the surrounding area. In August of 2006, I participated in a Church Planting Probe in Savannah. The Association identified 21 places they need new churches. Director of Missions Steve Sells hopes to plant 6 new works this year.

///OUR MISSION/// - To assist in planting new churches in suburban, semi-rural and urban settings. We will be conducting backyard bible clubs, doing street evangelism, acts of service, and other strategic evangelism initiatives depending on the needs of the new churches and the gifts of the field agents.

///YOUR MISSION/// - Check our blog for articles on Savannah and click on our partner links to see more on the work of the Savannah Baptist Association. Pray for new church planters to be identified or to move to the area to start churches. Pray for sponsor churches to commit to plant new churches. Pray for people to be receptive to the gospel.

MMP Receives Promotion on NAMB Operated Web Sites

///SITREP/// - Mission M Possible has been receiving web site activity from a new link. I investigated and discovered that Roger Ferrell and Mission M Possible have beem placed on the Missions Prep Network as aGeorgia Ministry Partner. This is a particularly exciting link in that this site is hosted and maintained by the North American Mission Board. Mission M Possible is also being promoted by NAMB through a project listing on The Bridge. The 2007 Savannah project is currently listed on this site.

///YOUR ASSIGNMENT/// - As you have the opportunity, communicate to those people you encounter in ministry that Mission M Possible is recognized as a missions partner with the North American Mission Board, as eevidenced by these internet listings and links.

Kentucky - MMP Media Exposure

///SITREP/// - Mission M Possible received some very positive media coverage in the Western Recorder, the weekly newspaper of the Kentucky Baptist Convention. Joe Ball, Youth Evangelism Strategist, referenced and quoted from DI Baggett's recent blog article on "Is E-Mail the New Snail Mail?" The article was quoted at length, and the blog web address was given in print. This is excllent positive media for the Agency in Kentucky.

NOC Agent Simmons Re-Deploying to North Carolina

NOC Agent Joshua Simmons is currently in transit to re-deploy in the Boone, North Carolina area. This re-deployment marks a return to his mission field at Appalachian State University, after a summer of R&R. Simmons' summer break did include a one-week mission deployment to a PowerPlant Church Planting projet in Port Arthur, Texas, as project worship leader.

Pray that Agent Simmons will discover Church Planting ministry opportunities on his mission field.
Pray that he will have continued success as he actively promotes the Mission M Possible strategy.

Ferrell Deployed in Georgia - Operation "Savannah Probe"

Roger Ferrell, MMP Director of Operations, is currently on a three-day deployment in Savannah, Georgia. He is working with other strategists from the Georgia Baptist Convention and the Savannah Baptist Association to help lead a CPP (Church Planting Probe) in the area. A CPP is a mission whereby Church Planting strategists determine the Church Planting needs in a specific area. Obviously, the outcome of this three-day probe will affect the strategies that we will employ during our one-week Summer Mission Training Op in Savannah next year.

Remember Agent Ferrell and the other Georgia Baptist strategists and staff as they conduct this probe.

///SITREP/// The Agency will be making communication and dissemination of MMP information high priorities in the coming weeks. With the beginning of the school year, many student ministries will be considering their missions mobilization choices for 2007. The Agency must continue to create interest in the missional and student ministries communities. The Agency must also begin to make more effective use of its assets.

YOUR MISSION:

Interact with the Student Church Planting blog at least once every 48-72 hours. Be sure to make an effort to post pertinent comments.
Subscribe to the blog ... add it to your daily news reads.
Send e-mail links promoting the blog and the MMP web site to as many people as possible. Encourage your friends and acquaintences to subscribe to the blog and check it daily.
Pass on any information regarding possible agent recruits to the Director of Intelligence as soon as you are able.
If you engage in any Church Planting projects or efforts in your area of operations, keep the DI informed.
Check in with the Agency via e-mail at least once every two weeks.
